Thanks to Guitarbitz for the lightning fast turnaround time and for your brilliant 12 point check...the guitar plays beautifully! It's a basic guitar (no gloss finish, one pickup etc) but I have five other guitars already and just wanted a simple guitar to use for slide....and it looks very cool!!! Might not be suitable for a beginner as the neck is reasonably chunky (it's not huge but there are certainly other guitars out there with slimmer necks.) My only slight disappointment is that the guitar has a cheap looking logo on the headstock, with a white surround...completely different from the one on the guitar, pictured. The all new Signature by Tanglewood TSB58 is their best electric ever though, a faithful LP style make for that £300 price point, with the most playability at this level. Tanglewood TSB58 Ebony Make no mistake, if you're after a Les Paul, this is THE BEST one we have seen at £300ish, and that includes Tokai, Epiphone and all the others. The Entwistle pickups are top quality with Alnico magnets, you get a solid Mahogany body with flame Maple veneer on the Cherry Sunburst version, and a neck that plays like a dream. Firstly quick dispatch and delivery was superb. As for the guitar itself, all the good reviews and awards are well deserved, plays and sounds as good as guitars costing a multiple of the price, only minor gripe is the action is a tiny bit on the high side but I can amend that easily enough myself. The simplicity of this guitar actually is quite appealing when you see it for real, and the satin finish 'feels' great especially on the neck. The built in preamp with EQ also is to be commended, very clear and sweet sounding. This guitar really is a bargain, its recent placing in Guitar & Bass magazines Top 20 pieces of gear is well deserved. Date: 02/08/2011
